Make Tracks to Panther Pajama Run

The Foundation for Wallingford-Swarthmore Schools invites all local runners and walkers to enter its 2019 Panther Pajama Run on Saturday, November 9. This year‘s event raises funds for the Foundation’s newest initiative: Reading for Education, Acceptance, and Diversity — READ — which aims to upgrade and increase diversity in WSSD schools’ library collections.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. for events, which include the 9 a.m. 5K run and 1.2 mile walk, as well as kids’ races on the track at George L King Field, which begin at 9:15 a.m. Award presentations follow at about 10:15 a.m.

Advance entry fee is $25, or $15 for students and seniors; the price is $5 more on race day. The first 300 to register get an event T-shirt. Registration for the walk and kids races is $10 for kids and $12 for adults in advance and $12/$15 on race day. More information is at runtheday.com and supportWSSD.org. Interested in sponsoring?
