On Sunday, September 22, HEADstrong Foundation’s Swarthmore 5K Run and 1M Walk will take runners on a scenic tour of the borough in a new fundraising event for athletes of all levels.

The event will support local families affected by cancer and serve as a rallying point for the community to encourage and lift up these families. Swarthmore is the home of Nick’s House, a residence for families with a member undergoing cancer treatment at Philadelphia-area hospitals.

Registration is now open. Runners are encouraged to form a team, which can include family, friends, and even dogs! Registration will be open until the day of the event, but early signup (by September 8) will guarantee you a race t-shirt.
