On Sunday September 8, at 5 p.m., the section leaders of the Choir of Trinity Episcopal Church will present a program of art songs entitled “Nightscapes,” exploring the world of night, sleep and dreams. Singers include soprano Tracy Sturgis, mezzo Janet Klik and baritone Matthew Maisano. Colin Doyle, tenor, will sing Robert Schumann’s song cycle Dichterliebe, a milestone of the Romantic movement. The program also includes songs by Brahms, Richard Strauss, Fauré, Barber and Vaughan Williams. The pianist will be James Smith, music director at Trinity Church.

Trinity Church is located at the corner of North Chester Road and College Avenue, directly across from the main entrance of Swarthmore College. Admission is free, and an offering will be received to benefit the parish’s Music Fund. Please call the parish office at 610-544-2297 for any additional information.
