To the Editor,

As man’s best friend, I have lived all over town: on Yale Avenue, Lafayette Avenue, and for the last three years on Haverford Avenue. You might think moving among three residences in the same zip code would be a challenge for a family pet, but it didn’t feel that way to me. The town was my constant. 

To all of you who asked my name, wondered whether I was male or female, patted me on the head, or inquired about my age, I thank you for your interest in this Australian shepherd. To any U.S. postal carrier, UPS, FedEx, or Amazon delivery driver who has come to our residences, I apologize for the incessant barking. It was my sister Poppy’s fault. She was a border collie, and I was just following her lead.

To everyone in 19081, know that you are blessed to live in such a wonderful community. I bid you farewell.
